In Love They Dwell

By August M. Scott

In realms of hearts where truths unfold,

A tale of two, in whispers told.

Commitment stands, a steadfast knight,

In armor strong, through day and night.

Bonding's touch, a tender lace,

A gentle hold, a soft embrace.

It weaves through souls, with threads so fine,

A tapestry of hearts entwined.

Desire burns, a fire bright,

A fleeting spark, a star's brief light.

It calls with whispers, urgent, wild,

A siren's song, both fierce and mild.

Need, a river, deep and wide,

Flows through valleys, cannot hide.

It nurtures roots, sustains the core,

A silent pulse, forevermore.

Partnership, a dance of two,

In step, in sync, a bond anew.

They move as one, yet each a part,

A rhythm shared, a work of art.

And love, a realm where all converge,

Where bonds and vows and passions surge.

It holds within, both near and far,

A compass true, a guiding star.

So here they stand, in life’s great play,

Commitment, bond, desire’s sway.

In partnership, they find their way,

In love, they dwell, and there they stay.
